In keeping with the previous post’s theme, here are photos and brief descriptions of the tinctures we carry starting with the letter “B”.
Boldo (leaf) – Anti-inflammatory liver and kidney support, hepato-analgesic. Official medicine in Brazil as a cholagogue and chloretic. Approved by the German Commission E for gastrointestinal spasms and dyspepsia. Mildly diuretic for increasing urine flow, urinary antiseptic as for cystitis. Used for gallstones and gall bladder inflammation, stimulates bile secretion, but not for obstructed bile duct.

Boldo plant
Bupleurum (root) – Hepato-protective, normalizes liver function, stimulates immune response. Used for cases of stagnant liver.

Burdock (root) – Anti-inflammatory, alterative herb for liver, lymph and kidneys by promoting elimination of metabolic waste, excellent for hepatic skin conditions, suggested for viral hepatitis. Promotes bile, but not for obstructed bile duct.
