Sarsaparilla – Anti-inflammatory used for psoriasis, arthritis, rheumatism, can also be used externally. Said to boost testosterone in both women and men. Binds to endotoxins in the gut to prohibit their absorption. Synergistic, works well with other herbs.

Schisandra – Excellent tonic and restorative. Adaptogenic, helping the body to cope with both internal and external stressors. Anti-oxidant, tonic nervine, enhances and protects neural tissue and cell mitochondria. Liver protectant, reduces enzyme levels, useful for HVC. Provides glutathione. Also indicated for pulmonary weakness, respiratory infection and non-specific pneumonia.

(Blue) Skullcap – Sedative, anti-spasmodic, cerebral vasodilator. Useful for restlessness, insomnia, exhaustion and weakness (especially associated with prolonged illness).

St. John’s Wort – Anti-depressant, anti-spasmodic, analgesic, anti-viral. Use for nerve pain, mild depression, SAD, menopausal symptoms, and nervous tension, anxiety (the results may take a couple weeks). It is also being studied for it’s anti-viral effects for HIV and AIDS. Do not use if you take MAO’s until you confer with a professional.
